Our two-year partnership with UK and Ireland energy provider SSE on the Next Generation scheme has been one of the most creatively rewarding projects we have worked on.
Launched in partnership with SportsAid in the run up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, of which SSE was a sponsor, the SSE Next Generation provides 100 talented young athletes with the funding and support they need to take the next step in their careers and become Britain’s next Olympic, Paralympic and world champions.
From early 2015 onwards, Sportsbeat have provided a comprehensive video production service for the scheme, capturing footage at roadshows and sporting events across the UK for both internal and external PR and marketing and news syndication services, but also engaging with broadcasters to secure TV and radio coverage.
We work with SSE and SportsAid to produce engaging video content that tells the story of their sponsorship of the Next Generation and their successes both on and off the sporting field.
This includes everything from working with high profile sporting ambassadors like Sir Chris Hoy, double Paralympic champion Libby Clegg and former Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell, to creating short form video content with athletes’ families.
As a rights-holding or non-rights holding broadcaster at high profile sporting events across the UK and beyond, we have also optimised our opportunities to gather content with the athletes as they continue their journey at national and international level and beyond.
