Heading overseas to represent your nation for the first time is one of the most exciting (and daunting) experiences for any young sportsperson.

One of the most important markers on any journey to a major games is the official kitting out day, and for the young athletes heading off to Nanjing for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.

This was the second time Sportsbeat have been commissioned to shoot a kitting out day video for the British Olympic Association (BOA), having also produced the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games film.

A variety of animations and archive footage were blended together with our interviews and images from the day itself as medallists of the future came together, bursting with pride to wear the Olympic rings on their breast.

The finished film will be used by the BOA across their official channels throughout the four-year cycle to the next summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018.

Sportsbeat has a longstanding relationship with the BOA, providing a range of press office, editorial and video support services.
